Salvus Technology Limited was founded by Terry Weston and Douglas Emmott to develop the best safe hypodermic needle technology.
They recognised that devices currently on offer fail to address either the practical needs of the end user, or the requirements of the pharmaceutical and manufacturing companies.
By concentrating on very low manufacturing cost, without sacrificing functionality, Weston and Emmott invented a device whereby the existing components that comprise a standard needle have been modified to provide additional functions. In particular, the needle hub and shield were re-designed to enable the device to self generate the energy required for passive operation and provide the elements necessary for safe locking.
The needle assemblies will be manufactured under licence. Patent protection
and other intellectual property rights have been applied for worldwide.
